The Diocese of Exeter and the Lee Abbey Small Missional Communities, supported by Lee Abbey Devon, have partnered to establish a Missional community in Plymouth.
Our community began in January 2021 – in the middle of the Covid pandemic!
We are based in a former vicarage with a vision to plant a new congregation into the adjoining modern church of St Mark’s and to serve in the local community.
Our community life is anchored in a rhythm of prayer and shared meals. We want to be the light and love of Christ in Ford, putting Jesus at the centre of everything we do.
Our focus is on the following:
- At home: to pray together and to build each other up in love.
- Hospitality: to pray in and for the local area, and to welcome people into our home.
- Social engagement: to be practically involved in the immediate and wider areas according to our gifts and as opportunities open up.
- Church life: to use St Mark’s to develop community activities and to gather people to encounter God.
